Since the investing in foreclosure market has been so hot lately I wanted to cover a few resources that would be helpful to those people not only currently in the foreclosure investment market but also for those looking into the market.
Plus, since the foreclosure topic is on a lot of people’s minds I’ll also cover several good resources which have been helpful to homeowners trying to stop foreclosure.
Foreclosure investing is probably not as easy as most people would think. Just like obtaining a new mortgage there are fundamentals that should be applied when beginning a foreclosure investing plan.
Most foreclosure investors began looking for foreclosure listings without doing their due diligence in terms of training and understanding the process. You’ll find that most of the popular foreclosure listings sites do provide some sort of training for help in understanding how foreclosure investing works. However not all of the training materials are easy to find.
The following is a list of foreclosure listing web sites that do provide helpful training resources.
Foreclosure.com - You’ll find a “Training” section (at the bottom) which includes online webinars.
RealtyTrac - Simply click on the “RealtyTrac” logo to visit the training area.
RealtyStore - Click on the “How It Works” menu link for training.
The next step after understanding the foreclosure investment process is to make sure you sign up with a web site that offers e-mail alerts.
Foreclosure listing e-mail alerts are important simply because searching the database on a daily basis takes entirely too much time. Foreclosure investing does include the time factor in terms of how long the property has been on the market. You do have to be aware that some of the secondary listings sources available on the Internet today only provide listings that are several weeks or maybe up to 30 days old. If you are serious about investing in foreclosure properties then it’s important to make sure you’re notified of properties as soon as they become listed on the market.
The top foreclosure listings resource is:
RealtyTrac < offers the best training, most up to date listings and email alerts.
For those homeowners were currently trying to stop a foreclosure or who are already in foreclosure here is a list of resources to help you understand the stop foreclosure process.
HomeAssure - provides a free consultation to home owners looking to stop foreclosure. The free online chat is a good place to start.
Also if you are a Virginia, Maryland, or District of Columbia resident I have a resource that can make an offer on your home and save you from all of the ugly ramifications of a home foreclosure.
